About DAISEQ Advisory

Independent judgement on data exposure, security investment, and AI-related risk.

DAISEQ Advisory is an independent cyber security advisory practice focused on helping organisations understand and reduce data and AI exposure. The practice engages leaders carrying accountability for data and AI security where regulatory pressure, including DORA, NIS2, GDPR, and the AI Act, has made it a board-level concern.

Founded on a simple observation: many organisations have invested heavily in security controls, passed their audits, and still lack confidence in what those controls are actually protecting. That observation became The Assurance Paradox: why compliance doesn't equal data protection, published independently in 2026 and forming the intellectual foundation of the practice. Vendor-neutral by design, founder-led, and carrying no reseller incentives, implementation quotas, or associate delivery model.

Brian Wawengkang founded DAISEQ Advisory, bringing twenty years across BCG, Deloitte, PwC, Symantec, and Accenture, including global experience in data security, cloud protection, and control transformation programmes spanning more than 50 countries.
